Winch

Those rugged trails you will be tackling are a dream come true for thrills, but a nightmare for traction. Even the best riders eventually lose traction while riding their four wheeler. You can use a winch to pull your ATV to smoother ground.

Emergency Kits

No matter how responsibly you drive your 4 wheeler, accidents still do happen. Maybe you hit a hidden pothole. Maybe a deer bolts out of nowhere an in front of your 4 wheeler. Maybe an irresponsible driver darts in front of you, causing you to swerve and hit a tree. Be prepared with an emergency kit. Protective Gear

Riding your 4 wheeler exposes you to some risks. The sun’s rays can cause sunburn. Kicked-up debris can scratch or pierce your skin. If you get in a crash, your delicate skin can get harshly damaged. At the bare minimum, you will need to wear long sleeves and long pants to guard your skin.

A key piece of equipment is, of course, your helmet. When you drive a four wheeler, you are at risk of severe accidents. You need more protection than you would driving a bike or motorcycle. You need a sturdy helmet that covers your head and your mouth. It should be snug enough so that it doesn’t wiggle around but not so snug that it creates a headache.

Some helmets come with a face guard. If yours does not, you will need to supplement it with eye protection. Sunglasses are better than nothing. But goggles offer the best protection from bugs, debris, and wind.

You also want to consider protection for your hands. Hot days make them sweat and rain makes them damp. The extra moisture makes it hard to grip the handlebars. Gloves prevent this issue so that you can keep a solid grip on your handlebars. They also serve as an extra layer of protection in a crash.

LEDs

The default lighting in your 4 wheeler is standard halogen lights. These are cheap for the manufacturer to install, but not ideal for you. LED lights are better on every level. They give a stronger, brighter beam of light. They consume less energy. They last longer. They are superior! They do cost more upfront, but you will need to replace them less often. In the long run, they are more cost-effective.
